Great Family Weekend

Nick and Shay got here around 1:30 am on Friday night. Needless to say, we said hello and back to bed for me and to bed for them. They were exhausted.

Everyone was up bright and early on Saturday morning. Corey and Reagan got here about 7:30 I think. Nick and Corey got ready and left for their hiking adventure. Chuck, Shay, Reagan and I just relaxed waiting on the boys to get back. We grilled some burgers for lunch and basically just relaxed and enjoyed Reagan.

Nick and Corey got back around 1:30, got showers, ate some lunch quickly and then we were off to Festival in the Park. Bobbie had to work and then wasn't feeling well so we missed having her with us. At Festival, we looked at all the crafts, listened to some music and watched some cloggers. Reagan really enjoyed the cloggers and joined in. After a while, we left Nick and Shay at Festival to meet up with some of their friends. We took Corey and Reagan home and then we headed to home. We got home, ate some leftovers and sat outside on the porch just relaxing some more.

Sunday I played cards with Nick and Shay (I LOVE playing cards). It was alot of fun. It was a great day to talk and catch up with them. That afternoon, everyone came over for a cookout. Corey taught us some new card games and showed us some magic tricks. Daniel showed up with two really cute girls (Way to go Daniel!) We had some yummy food and then ended up around the firepit. One of the highlights of the night was listening to Reagan call for Diesel when he ran off. She is so precious. She was so good (as always). We missed Bobbie again. Poor thing had to work and then got a migrane on top of that. We missed her the whole weekend but glad she is feeling better.

Nick and Shay had to leave around 10:30 to go to her sister's place. Shay's mom and Dan were coming in and they were spending the night and then Monday with them. Of course, I cried when they left. What can I say it just happens and I now realize that I definitely get this from my Mom. The last few years I had with her before she went into the hospital/nursing home, she would cry when I was leaving. Now I understand what it feels like.

Memorial Day was kind of a let down since that's the day you usually cookout, celebrate, etc. But since we got together with everyone on Sunday, it was just me and Chuck. So we just hung around the house waiting on Nick and Shay. They were going to stop by for a few minutes before they headed home. So we got to see them around 6 for a few minutes before they got on the road.

Even though I had a four day weekend I am ready for this week to be over. Also, looking forward to Emily's wedding this coming weekend.

I missed you all too. It was over all a let-down weekend for me. But, I'm looking forward to some fun this weekend!
